How does Bountiful Fiber work?

Bountiful City Fiber is an open-access fiber network. This means the City lays the fiber but does not actually provide service. Internet providers that are authorized by UTOPIA can offer service via Bountiful Fiber.

How much does it cost?

One monthly payment of $30-$38 goes to the city to repay it's debt from laying the fiber, and the other to your internet provider for the services you selected.
Fiber charge added to Bountiful Utility bill to pay down the bond

Installation and activation

What's the installation process?

Bountiful Fiber is powered by UTOPIA, a non-profit alliance of Utah cities. A UTOPIA technician is responsible for installing the fiber to your home
Conduit is buried from the fiber on your street to side of your home
A UTOPIA technician pulls a fiber line through the conduit and brings it into your home where an optical network terminal (ONT) is installed
UTOPIA Fiber/Bountiful Fiber is only responsible for getting fiber to your home, its up to your provider to help get you online

Is there a free trial available?
We do not offer free trials for no-contract internet service but we do offer a 30 day money back guarantee on all equipment purchases.
Can I change my plan later?
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time with no penalty. Upgrading to a 10 Gbps plan might require a visit to swap hardware.
Can I add other products or services later?
Yes, you can add any combination of products and services found on our website. We make our network services and solutions available to everyone, even those who live outside of our internet service coverage.
Do you charge for service visits?
Traditionally we do not charge for service visits for homes located in Bountiful City as our HQ is local. Service visits to our subscribers in other cities are contingent

When does billing start?
Billing begins on the day your internet service is activated and recurs monthly on that same day of the month, every month. We can adjust your billing date if requested.
How do I manage my billing preferences?
You can access the customer billing portal by going to wifipros.co/portal and registering for the first time or signing in.
Can I get a paper bill in the mail?
We do require payments to be made electronically but offer mailed invoices/statements for an additional $3/month
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that things change. You can cancel your plan at any time and we’ll refund you the difference already paid.
